The Art of Painting Images on Walls that Appear Convincingly Three Dimensional

According to Wikipedia, “trompe-l'œil is an art technique that uses realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects exist in three dimensions.”  A while ago, I had the opportunity to visit a trompe-l’oeil artist in his own home.   Christian Thee is a master painter and scenic designer based in South Carolina, who has filled his house with things that are often not what they appear to be.  Join me as I meet this master of illusion and see how he tricks the eye.
