DeWALT IMPACT READY® Right Angle Flexible Shaft Holder
The new DeWalt right angle flex shaft holder features a 12″ extension, “true 90°” right angle head, quick-change bit chuck, and a ring magnet at the end of the bit holder for keeping fasteners aligned. It comes with a removable side handle that screws into the bit holder housing for added leverage and support.
The idea of combining a right-angle head with a flexible shaft is a good one. The
angled head improves control and allows more pressure to be applied thus helping to keep the bit engaged with the screw head.
The flexible shaft extension makes it possible to drive screws into places that simply would, otherwise, be inaccessible. What really sets this tool apart, though, is that it is designed to be used with impact drivers, while ability definitely aids in driving, it is important to apply adequate hand pressure to the head to avoid stripping.
