Reusable Silicone Rubber Paint Can Lid from Cansealid
Reusable Silicone Rubber Paint Can Lid from Cansealid
When it comes to storing paint for those high traffic areas of your home that frequently need touch-ups this silicone rubber paint can lid has a lot going for it.
For one thing, it creates a tight seal even on previously opened cans that may have accumulated dried paint in the can lip. A tighter seal means the paint will stay fresh longer.
The lid is super easy to take on and off. An oversized tab makes it simple to grip and lift -- no tools of any kind are needed.
When the lid is pushed onto a paint can a certain amount of air is trapped underneath. However, by pushing down on the center of the lid and slightly lifting the tab, the air is expelled and a partial vacuum is created inside the can. Nice.
Because the lid is made of silicone rubber, paint does not permanently stick to it. Even after months of storage, the lid removes easily, even from messy cans. The silicone material is also easy to clean and can be re-used for years.
The designers incorporated a lip into the upper edge of the lid that allows paint cans to be stacked securely -- the bottom of one can nest into the lid of the one below. This feature reduces clutter and frees up storage space.
