Wallboard, even if it’s installed with screws, can develop unsightly “nail pops”. One way to prevent these annoying wall blemishes is to install drywall using an adhesive. There are other advantages to this fastening approach including, improved sound deadening, fewer drafts at edges and an impressive reduction in the number of screws or nails required. I tried out this technique for myself and, along the way, conducted a couple of tests.
