> How to Prevent Ultraviolet Sun Damage with New Windows
One of the wonderful things about windows is that they let the sunshine in, but this can also be a problem. Ordinary windows allow ultraviolet rays to come through. These rays can fade carpets, woodwork and upholstery.
One solution for older windows is to apply a low E window film on the inside.
If you're buying new windows, be sure to choose one that has the low E coating already applied. As an added bonus, you'll also lower your heating and air conditioning bills.
